18th century Scottish stone lion with extraordinarily endearing expression. This is a gloriously unpretentious sculpture of a lion with an exaggerated head
and mane and slightly puny body. This empathetic interpretation of a lion is
extremely homely and while he may not be the ideal guard, one would definitely
want to give him a home! Scottish, circa 1760.
