Description

A classical Scottish portrait mirror - with original glass - in a gilt and stone paint livery. The pediments with horns of plenty, which symbolise prosperity, and the ball gadrooning around the mirror are typical of the Scottish architect Robert Adam. Scottish, circa 1790. (Pediment Urn a later replacement.)
