Alsace Marriage Chest
This dome-topped chest has the original iron strap-work hinges, carrying handles and a wonderful lock and key. These chests were made to celebrate a marriage, and this one has the original paint and blue and floral decoration and is dated 1784. French, Alsace 1784.
