18th century Steel Trivet

An 18th century steel trivet with collared gun barrel stem and very elegantly drawn splayed feet. These were used beside fireplacesto put kettles on. This one now has an optional plate glass top which makes it a lovely table to put a drink on.English, circa 1770.

Diameter of trivet alone: 21.5cms (8.5 inches)
Diameter of glass top: 27cms (10 inches)
Height: 30.5cms (12 inches)
