Details

An amusing Folk Art interpretation of a cricket match with ridiculous figures and over-sized stumps, striped tops and caps. It has the exclamation ‘YES’ at the bottom as the batsman is about to be caught out. Vertical striped tops were quite popular in the late 19th century. A charming rendition of village cricket, painted and drawn in crayon with Scotland written on the back. British, circa 1900.
