Details
An amusing watercolour of different types of fishermen in a line according to rank and age. Leading the way is the portly squire smoking a pipe, followed by the country gent also smoking a pipe and both fly fishermen. Next in line comes the working man with his coarse fishing equipment and a cigarette in his mouth. Finally two boys, one a toff and the other a working boy both carrying the same bottle fishing traps. It depicts a classic reflection of Edwardian English society both in terms of attire and pastime. It is inscribed with the initials WBDK and dated 1902.
