A toleware biscuit tin/money box in the form of a country cottage made for William Crawfords & Sons biscuit manufacturers and illustrated by Lucie Attwell (1879-1964) who was famous for her nostalgic depictions of children, based on her daughter Peggy. After the biscuits were eaten the tin could be used as a money box. English, 1920’s.
